What's your PACKAGING & HANDLING policy?

PACKAGING As CRUZ & PEPITA strives towards sustainablity and minimal waste, your purchase will be lovingly coddled in unbleached tissue paper and packaged in a padded envelope or whatever I can recycle that's appropriate. The outside might not be sexy, but it's what's inside that counts, after all. I am working on sourcing better, ecologically-sound packaging for the future. HANDLING Your purchase will be handled with the virus version of kid gloves, ie. rubber gloves, and a whole lotta Purell.

Do you accept RETURNS & EXCHANGES?

Unworn, mint-condition purchases may be returned free of charge within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, excluding local tarrifs and taxes if applicable. To organise a return, please email info@cruzandpepita.com with the word RETURN and your original ORDER NUMBER in the subject. Instructions and pre-paid Chronopost label will be sent to you by email. CRUZ&PEPITA reserves the right to reject a return if the condition of the item is deemed unacceptable for resale. I'm afraid simple exchanges aren't possible at the moment. To exchange a purchase for a different size, fabric or print, please follow the return proceedure for your original purchase and purchase your new item seperately.

What will you do with my CONTACT DETAILS?

I promise not to sell them to the highest bidder! The only thing I will ever do with your contact details is send you an email related to CRUZ & PEPITA, such as your purchase confirmation or news about product launches and special promotions. You are absolutely free to unsubscribe at any time.

That was fun, right? Alas, I've had to, ehem, mothball my closet while focussing on the launch of CRUZ&PEPITA. But I still believe in the circular fashion economy and the glory of vintage so Pepita's Closet may yet see a revival. Watch this space.

I sure as hell hope so. The good folk at Wix and their recommended payment providers assure me that everything's properly encrypted for safe online transactions. Plus, you shouldn't be able to store your credit card details on the website which should give you - and me - one less thing to worry about.

What's the FINE PRINT?

If you're really, really bored, grab yourself a cup of coffee and knock yourself out reading the terms & conditions here.

How do I choose the RIGHT SIZE for me?

FIT & SIZE I have described how each garment fits and provided a size chart where appropriate. The measurements on the size chart refer to the garment, not you. If you're not sure about a size, I suggest you grab one of your own dresses, lie it flat on a table and measure the distance from the bottom of one arm hole to the bottom of the other armhole and compare that measurement with the armpit to armpit measurement stated in the size chart. Do the same from hip to hip. That's the best way to decide which size is right for you. Since different fabrics behave and stretch differently, measurements might vary from one fabric to the next, even if the dress model is the same so always check the measurment before purchase. MODEL WEARS... Until I can afford to hire Arizona Muse, that model is me, Pepita. I'm 175cm (5ft.7-and-a-half inches) tall and let's just say, shaped like a sweet pear. I'm between a European size 36 and 38; more 36 on top and definitely 38 around the derriere. The Stockman is a size 38, albeit a slim-hipped "couture" one. (Like many couture models, she doesn't seem to eat. Unlike me.) As a very rough guide: French 36 = Italian 40 = UK 8 = US 4 French 38 = Italian 42 = UK 10 = US 6 French 40 = Italian 44 = UK 12 = US 8 French 42 = Italian 46 = UK 14 = US 10 French 44 = Italian 48 = UK 16 = US 12 Please note: Since so many brands fit their garments differently these days The EU sizes indicated on the size charts are just a guide. Best to get your tape-measure out.

Are there any special CARE INSTRUCTIONS?

Unless the garment's care tag states otherwise, your silk or silk + cotton mix CRUZ&PEPITA dress can be handwashed in cold water, and steamed or ironed on a low-setting. You could also send it to an eco-responsible dry cleaner. (Just between us, I've washed most of my prototypes in the cold, gentle cycle of my washing machine with a splash of ECOVER Delicate Laundry Detergent and have had no probs whatsoever.)

Will you be adding MORE DESIGNS?

Bien sûr, as we say in France! I have a few new dress designs in development and a whole lot more in my head. But given CRUZ&PEPITA is essentially a resortwear collection, I'm going to take things slowly while we're in global pandemic mode. Here's hoping that 2021 will be a better year for all of us.
